Company Overview:

As they continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking a BisTrack Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their team and support their enterprise resource planning (ERP) needs.
Position Overview:
The BisTrack SME will play a key role in supporting the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of BisTrack ERP systems across their manufacturing operations. This role requires deep expertise in BisTrack, as well as a thorough understanding of lumber manufacturing processes and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the BisTrack system meets the operational and reporting needs of the business, providing technical support, training end-users, and working closely with internal stakeholders to improve system performance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • System Expertise and Support:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all BisTrack-related queries and issues within the company.
    • Provide hands-on support for BisTrack configuration, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
    • Work closely with IT and operations teams to integrate BisTrack with other enterprise systems and platforms.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new releases, updates, and features of BisTrack to ensure the company is leveraging the system’s full capabilities.
  • Implementation & Optimization:
    • Lead or assist in BisTrack system implementations, upgrades, and new module rollouts.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes using BisTrack and recommend system enhancements.
    • Ensure data integrity within the BisTrack system by establishing and enforcing best practices for data entry, reporting, and system usage.
  • Training & Documentation:
    • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users across different departments, including sales, inventory, and production teams.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BisTrack processes, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Conduct refresher training sessions to ensure users remain proficient with the system.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Support the generation of custom reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), production efficiency, inventory management, and sales operations.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop new reports or system modifications that meet evolving business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Act as a liaison between the IT department, operations teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the BisTrack system aligns with company goals.
    • Work with production managers, inventory coordinators, and other departments to optimize the flow of information and reduce operational inefficiencies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to software functionality, user access, and data synchronization.
    • Suggest improvements and help lead initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance the effectiveness of BisTrack.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience working with BisTrack ERP, ideally in a manufacturing or lumber industry environment.
    • Strong understanding of lumber production processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
    • Experience in system configuration, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of BisTrack modules such as Inventory, Sales Order Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools, or other data extraction/analysis tools is a plus.
    • Familiarity with ERP system integration, data migration, and system optimization practices.
  • Communication & Training:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
    • Ability to develop clear documentation and provide training to non-technical users.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to assess operational challenges and apply BisTrack solutions to improve processes.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the lumber or building materials industry.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or other manufacturing-related technologies.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
