Content Designer/Strategist IV

Our client is looking for a content designer to join their Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns team within the Ecommerce Ads pillar in Monetization. This role is fully remote, though most of the team is based in the Pacific time zone, but a few are spread across other time zones in the United States.

Location: 100% Remote - must be local to the following: Boston, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Houston, or San Diego
Pay Rate: $50-$60/hr (depending on location)

A bit about the role:

They're looking for someone to join the exciting space of self-driving ads, focused specifically on supporting one of their fastest growing automation products: Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns. Advantage+ Shopping Campaign is one of the first, fully automated end-to-end products built to serve the needs of businesses selling physical goods online (Direct-to-Consumer, Marketplaces, Single Brand, Multi Brand Retail). It focuses on delivering effortless scale with sustained performance and greater efficiency.

After launching in September 2022 and generating $3B in incremental revenue within the first few months, the AAC product is now in a hyper-growth stage. They're looking for someone to support the team as they continue to drive product adoption and incremental in the following key areas: Building advertiser trust and confidence Help advertisers deepen their trust in our automated solution, while providing the right guardrails and controls to ensure advertisers are connecting with the right audiences Advertise experience Continue to invest in creating a simple user experience, streamlining the steps it takes to create an ad Expanding the product to new industries Help increase the total addressable market of the product by introducing new features and ensuring the content in the product connects with diverse audiences Advertiser performance Help advertisers understand which controls and settings will produce the best results to ensure the performance of the product exceeds its manual counterpart

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, write, edit, test and improve content in the product, Help Center, across education materials, in navigational nomenclature, etc.
  • Partner closely with product design and UX research to develop the in-product experience for new features and evolve the experience for existing ones
  • Share work to get and give feedback from other content designers, product designers, UX researchers and other cross-functional partners
  • Work collaboratively with other cross-functional partners, like product management and engineering, to define the scope of new features, understand the product requirements, accurately explain technical details and backend systems, and more
  • Partner closely with product marketing managers to ensure the in-product content aligns with the go-to-market materials and other advertiser-facing materials

You’ll be a good fit for this role if:
  • You have an understanding of how ad systems work, and have experience developing content for automated products built on machine learning
  • You enjoy unraveling the technical nuances of the Ads space, and understanding how certain features work to translate this to a range of audiences
  • You feel comfortable with high-visibility projects and plenty of ambiguity. You also adapt quickly, and enjoy navigating pivots in product strategy based on new insights and findings
  • You enjoy design strategy as much as content problems, and look for opportunities to influence and help define the overall UX for new experiences
  • You’re highly collaborative, and excel at getting buy in from cross-functional partners on experience-focused projects
  • You thrive at solving difficult problems and aren’t afraid to propose bold UX solutions to meet the needs of your customers
  • You’re interested in supporting efforts to develop clear content standards around how we communicate about automation
