Desktop Support Technician
Location: Onsite; Madison, WI (must already reside within the state of Wisconsin)
Pay: up to $23 per hour DOE

Job Overview:
Planet Technology's client is seeking a Desktop Support Technician. Provides information technology (IT) support services to end users in support of institutional technology operation. Provides training to end users.
Job Responsibilities:
- 50% -- Completes procurement, installations, configurations, repairs, and modifications of various technology hardware, software, and associated components under general supervision
- 30% -- Identifies, troubleshoots, resolves, and/or escalates basic and more complex data, network connectivity, client/server processes, and application issues according to established policies and procedures
- 10% -- Maintains operational functions of technology systems to ensure appropriate integration, compatibility, and functionality according to established user requirements
- 10% -- Serves as a point of contact for individuals and groups, providing standard-level organizational information about technology resources and addressing their needs
Top Skills (1-2 Yrs of Exp):
- Installation of computers, monitors, and peripherals
- Troubleshooting Windows system error messages
- Installation of software such as Microsoft Office
Nice to Have Skills:
- Understanding SCCM/MECM task sequences and deploying software via software center
