Job Description
Our client is seeking a qualified Maximo practitioner to provide application/technology solutions and services to our clients.
The selected candidate will join the Global Enterprise Systems Business Line, which focuses on providing our clients a variety of consulting services, offerings, capabilities, and strategies delivering high value to our clients through a variety of leading technologies and practice disciplines.
Daily Activities:
- The Maximo design / developer shall possess strong functional and technical knowledge of the IBM Maximo EAM solution.
- The candidate must have strong project execution capabilities, collaboration capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Candidate will focus on continuous improvement and enterprise innovation, and have a strong attention to detail while delivering high-quality work to our clients.
- The Maximo design / developer is responsible for providing professional services to our clients focusing on the Maximo for Utilities technologies and application.
- This position will participate in a variety of Enterprise Transformation Programs focused on Maximo solutions through all delivery lifecycle stages of a typical software implementation or upgrade.Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Very strong ORACLE SQL design and develop skills (SQL, PL/SQL))
- Apply industry experience and leading practices to architect, design, develop and implement Maximo solutions to support complex business requirements and objectives.
- As the lead design / developer support Analysis, Design, Build, Test, Triaging defects, Configuration, and Deployment activities
- Ability to support Enterprise Program Management activities utilizing various methodologies such as but not limited to Waterfall and Agile methods.
Responsible for assigned deliverables:
- Work with other team members designing, building, configuring Maximo application and contribute to other activies associated with large EAM programs.
- Assist with the business process design activities to drive out the complete requirements: functional, technical, integration, configuration and security.
- Work with the application designer to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution that provides a common structure for mapping the data between the applications.
- Create an inventory of all cross-application interactions or interfaces, referred to as business events or messages.
- Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, and are within the project scope.
- Validate that the integration architecture and solution utilize the integration components appropriately.
- Leverage prior experience and knowledge to provide inputs to assist with project decisions
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Has served as a developer/designer/tester on at least three medium-scale Maximo projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies, including but not limed to Waterfall and Agile.
- Solid understanding of the EAM or APM business processes and the associated technologies to manage and deliver quality enterprise solutions utilizing Maximo technologies
- Have project experience in utilities generation/transmission/distribution areas
- Strong Maximo application design and development skills – including extensive experience with MIF
- Proven experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions to convert from legacy platform to Maximo EAM
Education/Experience needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred; Equivalent work experience will be substituted.
- Minimum 5+ years of designing/building/testing/deploying application and integration solution utilizing IBM’s Maximo.
- Minimum of 5+ years working in the Electric Utility Industry or equivalent.
