Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven ERP Project Manager to lead and oversee projects in the Epicor ERP space, working in close partnership with clients and third-party service providers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the ERP implementation lifecycle, specifically within the Epicor ecosystem, and will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of ERP solutions on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. This role requires strong project management skills, a thorough understanding of Epicor ERP, and the ability to collaborate with clients, internal teams, and partner vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage end-to-end ERP projects for clients, ensuring alignment with client business goals and ensuring timely delivery. Oversee project scoping, planning, execution, and delivery within the Epicor ERP space.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Work closely with third-party Epicor partners, vendors, and internal technical teams to ensure alignment in project deliverables, timelines, and objectives. Facilitate communication and act as a liaison between all parties involved in the project.
  • Scope, Budget & Timeline Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create detailed project plans and manage the project’s schedule, resources, and budget to meet established goals.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and ensure issues are addressed promptly. Handle scope changes, delays, and unexpected challenges to keep the project on track.
  • Project Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, status reports, meeting minutes, and risk logs. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the client’s requirements and that the solution is properly tested before going live. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues that arise during testing.
  • Team Management & Coordination: Lead cross-functional project teams, including internal resources and external consultants. Assign tasks and track progress to ensure the project stays on schedule and within scope.
  • Post-Implementation Support: Ensure smooth project transition post-go-live by managing handoff to support teams and assisting with training, documentation, and post-launch troubleshooting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the project management approach and ERP implementation strategies. Share best practices and lessons learned to enhance future projects.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on ERP implementations (preferably Epicor).
    • Proven track record of managing large, complex ERP projects from inception to completion, within budget and on time.
    • Experience working directly with Epicor ERP, including implementation, customization, and post-implementation support.
    • Knowledge of ERP systems, software deployment, and change management methodologies.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification is highly desirable. Epicor-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the Epicor ERP system, modules (such as Manufacturing, Financials, Supply Chain), and integration tools.
    • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar).
    • Basic understanding of business processes in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Able to articulate project requirements, issues, and solutions clearly.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and address project challenges effectively.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Experience in leading cross-functional teams, with a collaborative leadership style that motivates and inspires team members to achieve project goals.
  • Client-Focused: Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and third-party vendors.
Key Attributes:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Ability to balance technical details with business outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Additional Information:
  • Travel: Occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required for client meetings, project assessments, or go-live support.
