Epicor Developer About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Epicor Developer to support and enhance our manufacturing client's instance of Epicor Kinetic (formerly Epicor ERP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Epicor Kinetic, ERP development, and manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the Kinetic platform to support the client’s business operations and drive efficiency improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Epicor Kinetic Customization & Development: Develop and customize solutions within Epicor Kinetic to meet business requirements. This includes creating business logic, workflows, and UI customizations to ensure smooth operations.
Integration Management: Implement and maintain integrations between Epicor Kinetic and other third-party systems or applications used in manufacturing, including production, inventory, and financial management systems.
Support & Troubleshooting: Provide timely support for issues or bugs within the Kinetic system. Troubleshoot problems across different modules (e.g., production, inventory, purchasing, sales) and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
System Enhancements: Collaborate with business users and leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement system enhancements to optimize performance, improve data accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
Report Development: Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards in Epicor Kinetic using tools such as BAQ (Business Activity Queries), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), or other reporting solutions integrated with Epicor.
Data Management: Assist with data migration, validation, and extraction tasks to ensure accurate data flow throughout the system and prevent data inconsistencies.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that the Kinetic system is compliant with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the specific needs of the manufacturing environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and manufacturing stakeholders, to align system capabilities with business objectives.
Documentation & Training: Document customizations, configurations, and processes. Provide training and guidance to end-users as needed to help them make the best use of Epicor Kinetic.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Epicor Kinetic (Epicor ERP) development and customization.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Epicor Kinetic development tools (e.g., Epicor Method, BAQs, Kinetic Forms, and BPMs).
Strong knowledge of SQL and SQL Server.
Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, .NET, or similar.
Experience with Epicor integrations, web services, and APIs is highly desirable.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve system issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Additional Skills:
Understanding of manufacturing business processes (e.g., production, inventory, procurement).
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
