Job Description
IFS FSM Technical Consultant
The IFS ERP Field Service Management (FSM) developer is a Remote Contract role, where you would be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the FSM module within the IFS ERP system. The FSM module is specifically focused on managing field service operations, including tasks such as scheduling and dispatching field technicians, tracking work orders, managing inventory and spare parts, and capturing customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand their field service management needs and translate them into functional requirements.
- Module Design: Design the FSM module architecture, data models, and workflows that align with the overall IFS ERP system framework.
- Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure the FSM module based on the specific requirements of clients. This may involve developing custom fields, screens, reports, and integration points.
- Development: Implement the FSM module using the appropriate programming languages and technologies. This may involve working with tools such as IFS Application Studio, .NET, Java, or other relevant frameworks.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration of the FSM module with other modules within the IFS ERP system, such as finance, inventory management, and customer relationship management (CRM).
- Testing and Debugging: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the FSM module functions correctly and meets the desired specifications. Debug and fix any issues or bugs that arise during the testing phase.
- Documentation: Create technical documentation, including module specifications, user guides, and release notes, to facilitate system understanding and future maintenance.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the FSM module, including resolving user-reported issues, applying patches and updates, and optimizing performance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as project managers, quality assurance (QA) testers, and infrastructure teams, to ensure successful module implementation and deployment.
Qualifications:
- Required Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States
- 3 years of Technical Development experience in IFS ERP.
- Experience doing the full technical setup of the IFS FSM module.
- Experience with IFS version 9 or above preferred
- Previous industry experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive, is preferred.
