Junior System Administrator
Company Overview:

They are seeking a proactive and driven Junior System Administrator to join their IT team to support their critical systems, with a focus on Epicor ERP and associated infrastructure.
Job Summary:
The Junior System Administrator will play a key role in supporting the IT infrastructure and systems of the company, with a particular emphasis on Epicor ERP. This position will help maintain the company’s servers, networks, and IT systems, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime. You will work closely with senior IT staff, assisting in the administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of our Epicor ERP system, server environments, and other IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Epicor ERP Support:
Provide daily administrative support for the Epicor ERP system, including user access, system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
Assist in the deployment of patches, upgrades, and fixes to the Epicor environment.
Work with end users and the IT team to resolve any Epicor ERP-related issues.
Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and ensure Epicor ERP is functioning efficiently to support business processes.
System Administration:
Assist in maintaining and monitoring servers, storage, and network equipment (both on-premises and cloud).
Perform routine system maintenance, including backups, updates, and security patches.
Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows server-based systems.
Infrastructure Support:
Help maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and virtual environments.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across various systems and devices.
Work with the IT team to ensure seamless integration between Epicor ERP and other systems such as manufacturing, inventory, and finance tools.
Security & Compliance:
Assist with maintaining a secure IT environment by supporting antivirus software, firewalls, and other security measures.
Help ensure that the systems meet industry standards and comply with internal and external security protocols and regulations.
User Support & Documentation:
Provide technical support to internal users, responding to system-related issues or helpdesk tickets.
Create and maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Assist in training users on new or updated systems and applications, especially related to Epicor.
Other IT Support Tasks:
Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Assist with the deployment and configuration of new hardware, including workstations and servers.
Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed for system improvements or support.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
1-2 years of experience in system administration, IT support, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Epicor ERP or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
