Kinetic Configurator Developer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Epicor Kinetic Configurator Developer to support our client’s projects and initiatives from a technical standpoint. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Configurator functionality within the Epicor Kinetic environment. This position will focus on providing solutions to meet complex customer requirements and business processes, ensuring the configuration experience is efficient, scalable, and customized to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Configurator Development & Customization:
Design, develop, and maintain custom configurations within the Epicor Kinetic Configurator module to meet specific customer requirements.
Create and modify product configurations, rules, and logic to provide tailored solutions for complex product offerings.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions using the Epicor Kinetic platform.
Technical Support & Problem Resolution:
Provide technical support for the Configurator, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions for system malfunctions and optimization opportunities.
Address technical challenges related to the integration of Configurator with other Epicor modules and external systems.
Assist in debugging and resolving issues in the configuration workflow to ensure smooth business operations.
System Integrations & Enhancements:
Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and users to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system integrations.
Contribute to the implementation of enhancements to the existing system based on feedback from stakeholders.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Develop and execute test plans to validate configuration functionality and ensure proper integration across Epicor modules.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify the functionality of configuration solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Documentation & Training:
Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation on configurations, workflows, and customizations.
Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers, offering training on new configuration features and best practices.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Strong experience in Epicor Kinetic, specifically with the Configurator module, including product configuration design, rules, and logic.
Proficiency in Epicor Kinetic’s development environment, including understanding of BPMs (Business Process Management), DMT (Data Management Tool), and SQL scripting.
Experience with Epicor Kinetic's customization tools (e.g., BAQ, UD fields, dashboards, etc.).
Knowledge of integration techniques for connecting Epicor Kinetic with other systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, etc.).
Experience & Education:
3+ years of experience in developing and configuring Epicor Kinetic applications, with a focus on the Configurator.
Strong background in manufacturing or distribution industries is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and system performance.
Collaboration & Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and end-users.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Epicor Kinetic certifications or training.
Familiarity with other Epicor modules (e.g., Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.).
Experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies.
