Epicor Technical Resource
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Epicor Technical Resource to support our client's projects and initiatives from a technical standpoint. In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical expertise, assisting with the implementation, configuration, customization, and optimization of Epicor ERP systems. You will work closely with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of Epicor solutions and help drive the success of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Epicor ERP Implementation & Customization:
Provide technical expertise for the configuration, implementation, and customization of Epicor ERP solutions, ensuring they align with the client’s business requirements.
Assist with the design and deployment of Epicor modules, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
Customize forms, reports, and workflows using Epicor's customization tools, such as BAQ (Business Activity Query), BPM (Business Process Management), and UD (User Defined) fields.
Technical Support & Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to Epicor ERP, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
Offer proactive support to end-users, diagnosing system problems and providing timely solutions.
Address integration challenges between Epicor and other third-party systems, ensuring smooth data exchange and business processes.
System Performance & Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the performance of the Epicor system, identifying opportunities for improvements in speed, scalability, and efficiency.
Conduct routine system health checks and provide recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
System Integrations & Data Management:
Support the integration of Epicor with other business systems, ensuring data flows accurately and efficiently between platforms.
Use Epicor’s Data Management Tools (DMT) to perform data imports, exports, and transformations as needed.
Assist in creating and maintaining automated data transfer processes and batch jobs.
Collaboration & Consultation:
Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements and offer tailored technical solutions.
Collaborate with other technical team members to ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals and processes.
Provide technical guidance on best practices, system enhancements, and optimization strategies.
Documentation & Training:
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all customizations, system configurations, and integrations.
Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users on Epicor system features and functionalities.
Document and communicate technical issues, resolutions, and ongoing system modifications.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Epicor ERP, including core modules such as Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Distribution.
Proficiency in Epicor’s customization tools (BAQ, BPM, DMT, UD fields, dashboards, etc.).
Strong experience with SQL scripting and relational databases.
Experience with system integrations and API-driven data exchange.
Experience & Education:
3+ years of hands-on experience in an Epicor ERP environment, with a strong understanding of technical aspects such as configurations, customizations, and integrations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in system configurations, data processing, and problem resolution.
Collaboration & Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Project Management & Time Management:
Experience supporting projects in a technical capacity, including managing timelines, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and provide consistent updates to stakeholders.
