LIMS LabVantage v8 Implementation Consultant – (Contract) – Remote (US)
Biotechnology Organization seeks a LIMS LabVantage v8 Implementation Specialist for a Remote 6-Month Contract, with likely extensions. Ideal candidate will have 4+ years recent LIMS LabVantage v8 experience to include both Technical and Functional user facing aspects. Individual will have hands-on systems expertise with the ability to troubleshoot Java, JavaScripting, VBScript, etc., and perform hands-on complex configurations.
This person must be located within the US and possess a desire to learn new technologies and processes, while asking for help as needed along-the-way. Benefits

A C2C/1099 or W2 (with or without benefits) contract
A remote contract with exposure to the implementation of the most recent LabVantage version 8.8.
Requirements
Successful history of effectively providing LabVantage LIMS v8, or higher, ticket resolution, solutions design, and user training for both simple and complex tickets.
Prior complex configuration experience.
Ability to write (or edit) programming for Java and perform JavaScripting.
Experience with containers in programming.
Experience with GitHub to include having dealt with merge conflict resolution.
JIRA experience.
VBScripting experience would be a plus but not a requirement.
Genomics workflow expertise a plus.
A can-do attitude with the ability to work independently but ask questions often and regularly.
A passion for learning new and complex technologies and workflows, without fear of asking for help as needed.
Responsibilities
Serving as a hands-on techno-functional LabVantage LIMS v8 consultant assisting with ticketing resolution and solutions-finding as part of a full SDLC implementation.
Working within a team of consultants to complete simple and complex ticketing, to include hands-on configurations.
Assisting in the creation and improvement of robust and complex workflows and systems, while ensuring system optimization occurs and users’ needs are met.
Informing management along-the-way of progress or challenges of open tickets to properly set expectations and escalate issues as needed.
Utilizing expertise in Java and JavaScript to provide solutions within LabVantage and other systems.
Utilizing Github and JIRA to regularly store, share and collaborate with the team on various tasks and ticketing.
Assisting users on solutions roll out to ensure thorough understanding and utilization of new processes and system improvements as needed.
