LIMS LabVantage v8 Implementation Consultant – (Contract) – Remote (US)
Biotechnology Genomics Organization seeks a remote LIMS LabVantage v8 Implementation Consultant for a 6-month contract with likely extensions. This requires 5+ years direct experience in software product management, LabVantage version 8 implementation experience, and hands-on technical LabVantage configuration expertise. This candidate must possess experience gathering user requirements and communicating these to technical development teams. Java experience is idyllic, as is genomics industry exposure. Additionally, this individual should have expertise within lab processes, instrumentation and software compliance. Agile experience is also required.
Opportunity offers a substantial remote contract affording the ideal candidate the opportunity to contribute to a full SDLC implementation of LabVantage version 8.8. No C2C or agencies please.

Requirements
  • US Citizenship or Green Card holder work authorization; located within the US.
  • BS or higher within a related field.
  • 5+ years’ direct experience in software product management.
  • Prior expertise serving as technical business analyst to implement LabVantage LIMS version 8 and ideally a higher version like 8.7.
  • LabVantage LIMS hands-on configuration expertise as well as Business Analysis within full SDLC implementations and upgrades.
  • A history of working and understanding laboratory processes, having worked with instrumentation, as well as software compliance requirements.
  • Agile and Genomics exposure is a must.
  • JIRA or similar tracking systems desired as well as Software QA expertise.
  • Java and JavaScript experience ideal.

Responsibilities
  • Providing LabVantage v8.6 or higher, technical and functional expertise to stakeholders and internal development teams, while serving as SME and guiding the LabVantage v8.8 implementation.
  • Working with end users, partners and development leads to identify areas to help configure LabVantage, develop business processes, functional workflows and documentation to include technical requirements.
  • Creating master data and providing system governance as needed for the development teams.
  • Working with various stakeholders to create and share a general understanding among both business and technical teams of software products.
  • Producing various deliverables to better facilitate understanding amongst stakeholders including flow diagrams, data models, pros and cons prototypes, wireframes and other illustrations.
  • Developing and utilizing strong hands-on technical knowledge of software products to include LabVantage, to better assist in tasks that include system configuration to testing and end-user support.
  • Creating and delivering user training materials to include user guides and presentations.
  • Evaluating whether pre-existing informatics solutions are available to support business requirements and needs.
  • Incorporating a focus on lab user experience into product design and working closely with development and software quality assurance teams on product and process improvements.
  • Utilizing prior Genomics knowledge in workflow and process creation and improvements and within a regulatory environment.
  • Utilizing expertise in agile software development life cycle with a proven history of working in this capacity.
