LIMS LabVantage Project Manager – (Remote) – Contract – Eastern Time
Biotech Research Organization seeks a Remote LabVantage LIMS v8 Project Manager for a Contract opportunity working east coast hours. This person must have extensive Project Management expertise in LabVantage v8 implementations, experience working with MS Project, MPP Tools (related to the .mpp file format), JIRA, Visio, and SharePoint, and within a waterfall environment. Ideal candidate will be able to work on global LabVantage implementation within a long-term project with likely extensions.

Requirements
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder, located in the states.
  • Ability to work east coast hours and travel up to 2 times throughout the contract.
  • Prior expertise managing multiple LabVantage implementation projects in version 8.
  • A self-starter who will thrive within a fast-paced environment while managing and prioritizing work assignments based on importance and project needs.
  • An ability to effectively manage vendors, consultants, and business partner relationships throughout the project.
  • A clear understanding of accounting concepts as they pertain to projects to include capitalization versus expense.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the facilitation and coordination of requirements gathering, completion, review, and final approval from key stakeholders.
  • Confirming the allocation and engaging the project teams/resource managers in the onboarding of external resources as stated in each business case.
  • Collaborating with vendors and engaging third-party resources as needed.
  • Facilitating/documenting RACI, as well as Change Control Processes.
  • Setup team collaboration via JIRA and other tools for entire project team.
  • Facilitating/confirming KPI to measure project success during post go-live.
  • Ensuring scope of work is locked down and updated accordingly, while properly setting expectations.
  • Gathering estimates and the documentation of project plans, while communicating the go-live dates and other projected deliverables and timelines.
  • Tracking project budget and spending across organization ensuring alignment with approved funding.
  • Scheduling and preparing materials, while facilitating meetings (both tactical and leadership) to then report status and progress outcomes of each meeting.
  • Tracking and documentation of risks, actions, issues, and discrepancies while then formatting a migration plan as needed for these.
  • Facilitating documentation to ensure approval for deployment, communication, business readiness and training plans.
  • Tracking testing plans and preparation are both documented accordingly and executed in excellence.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the execution of dry runs as required.
  • Preparing, scheduling, and facilitating leadership approvals for cut over activities.
  • Managing go-live activities while also addressing situations and issues in a timely manner ensuring effectiveness.
  • Leading Hypercare efforts while conducting and documenting “lessons learned” to then facilitate formal hand-off to operations.
  • Coordinating with business relationship managers in reviewing benefits realization.
  • Performing project tracking through the utilization of MS Project, MPP Tools, JIRA, SharePoint, and Visio, and within a Waterfall environment.
