LIMS Labware Business Analyst - (Full-time) – Remote

Biotech Research organization seeks a LIMS Labware Business Analyst to join a team of 6 to assist in the upgrade of highly customized Labware v6 to Labware v8. Ideal candidate will be an experienced Labware Business Analyst with 6+ years experience writing requirements, validating systems, and working with users. This person will have Scrum and JIRA expertise within an Agile and FDA regulated environment to include Automated Testing, User Stories, and Continuous Integration. This 100% remote full-time opportunity requires limited quarterly travel to the Los Angeles and offers excellent health care benefits from day one, enormous career growth potential and stock options. Responsibilities:
  • Requirement gathering (SRS, URS, validation docs)
  • System Testing
  • Go through the SDLC process and build a roadmap to improve and gain efficiencies
  • 5 to 8 years of LIMS experience (Labware ideal)
  • Work with business users and SME’s to understand the end-to-end processes and document aspects of Requirement, Design and Testing & Training phase in the SDLC for the IT team
  • Create documentation such as Process Flow charts, user stories, FRS, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Summary Reports and Training Manuals
  • Lead communication between the business, IT and other support teams
  • Ensure backlogs are resolved according to SOPs and change control procedures
  • Run daily, weekly and monthly agile rituals effectively
  • Work with internal teams to acquire an in-depth understanding of the system, business processes and the documentation needs
  • Document and understand current as-is processes, collaborate with SMEs to design required process, perform gap analysis and recommend business process changes
  • Translate software functions into process driven user-friendly materials to support implementation and training of a variety of applications
  • Ensure project requirements are in line with business objectives

Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an FDA regulated and/or Biologic company
  • Experience in providing production support for enterprise systems (triaging to closing tickets while producing change control documentation)
  • Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum
  • Experience running Scrum with JIRA, experience with Agile techniques such as Automated Testing, User Stories, Continuous Integration
  • Understanding of SDLC, software development and validation concepts so as to produce documentation for validated systems
  • Ability to make complex concepts easily understandable using text and visual aids, good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Visio and excellent communication skills required
