Job Description
Our client needs an experienced Accounting Manager/P21 to lead and direct the Prophet 21 system alongside the finance teams. This candidate will oversee the company’s Accounting functions and all aspects and handle the financial reporting. This candidate will need a background in Managing a team, financial analysis, and accounting principles. The Accounting Manager will be supervising a team to provide guidance in the Prophet 21 system including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and everything payroll.
Daily activities include:
- Will collaborate with cross-functional teams, present financial information to stakeholders, and provide guidance to team members
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial data and assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plan
- Identifying and solve complex accounting issues, as well as thinking analytically to drive financial improvements, is essential in this role
- Experience in leading a team of accounting professionals is essential. The Accounting Manager should have the ability to motivate and mentor their team, set goals, and provide guidance and support when needed
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with regulations. They should be diligent in reviewing financial data for errors or discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and support for key business decisions
- The ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and present findings to both financial and non-financial stakeholders is crucial. Proficiency in preparing accurate and informative financial reports is essential
- Ensure all tax filings and government reporting requirements are completed accurately and timely
- Manage the day-to-day operations including having a deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and being skilled in applying them to financial transactions and reporting

Qualifications:
- Required Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Epicor Prophet 21 is a must
- Hands-on experience in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), AP, AR, and GL.
- Experience Managing an accounting or finance team
