Prophet 21 Business Analyst
Our client is a leading distribution company committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to their clients. As they continue to expand through acquisitions, we are seeking a dedicated Prophet 21 Business Analyst to support their implementation efforts in newly acquired locations.
Job Summary:
The Prophet 21 Business Analyst will play a critical role in the successful implementation and optimization of the Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system across their expanding operations. This position will work closely with various stakeholders, including IT, operations, and end-users, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of P21 functionalities with business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and support of P21 implementations for newly acquired locations, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for system configuration and customization.
Training and Support: Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions to ensure staff are proficient in using P21. Provide ongoing support to users post-implementation.
System Configuration: Configure P21 to meet the specific needs of each location, ensuring optimal use of the system’s features and functionalities.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate and execute system testing to validate configurations and ensure that all functional requirements are met.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system issues, collaborating with IT and vendors as necessary to implement effective solutions.
Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes and recommend enhancements through the use of P21 to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and training materials.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project status and requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, preferably with experience in ERP systems, specifically Prophet 21.
Strong understanding of distribution operations and supply chain processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in training and user support is a plus.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with SQL and reporting tools is advantageous.
