Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Information Technology Technician 1 is responsible for providing timely and accurate technical assistance to our onsite and remote workforce. He/she interfaces with all departments within the organization and is a member of a team providing front line desktop technical support across the our client's company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These include, but are not limited to:
- Provide Level 1 and 2 IT support within established Service Level Agreements
- Support Windows 10 laptops. Office 365, and cloud-based applications
- Support and troubleshoot employee VPN and network/Wi-Fi connectivity, printer/scanner, AV video conferencing, MS-Teams, Zoom, and VoIP phones
- Set-up and maintain employee laptops, iPads, and other IT related equipment.
- Prepare laptops and setup workspaces for new users and system refreshes. Perform on-boarding an off-boarding procedures as required
- Image/configure/update cellular iPads used by remote field agents nationwide
- Use Manage Engine for remote support, software distribution and patching
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in training users
- Assist in documentation of IT knowledge base
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Minimum of HS diploma and 4 years’ experience performing IT Helpdesk (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and network infrastructures
- Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve complex technical problems
- Experience with Manage Engine a plus
- Experience working in the biopharmaceutical company preferred
- Must be physically able to lift and move existing and new PC system components (i.e. Servers, PCs, Monitors, Desktops, Printers, etc.)
- Availability on evenings and weekends for projects and mission-critical issues
- Strong Interpersonal and Communications (oral and written) skills
- Ability to maintain composure when dealing with challenging situations
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Equipment:
- PC, scanners, facsimile machine, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained
- Knowledge of other equipment required: Diagnostic and repair of laptop, server hardware
- Experience supporting Apple iPads, iOS and mobile device management
- Available to work both in the office and remotely in accordance with the approved WFH schedule
