Planet Technology is seeking a Social Community Manager for our client. 

Hours: 20-30/week
Location: Remote - i
deally would love someone in Portland. If not in Portland, would want someone willing to travel as needed to Portland 
Pay Rate: $35 - $43
 

The Community Manager will serve as the liaison between the brand and its audience. This role acts both as the voice and moderator of the brand on social media, but also the advocate and voice of our fans internally.

The Community Manager will support the Digital Content Manager in developing, managing and optimizing editorial content across social channels.

Responsibilities:

Community Management
  • Assist in the development of community management strategy, including proactive and reactive approaches
  • Engage with audiences on owned social channels and build relationships by regularly engaging with like-minded brands and influencer feeds
  • Writing clear, concise and informative copy/responses, while infusing brand voice/personality when appropriate
  • Maintain an excellent response time via in-house community management tools
  • Coordinate with consumer affairs team and other internal teams as needed
  • Develop and present monthly/quarterly reporting, with clear and actionable recommendations/insights

Social Listening
  • Stay informed of social media marketing trends and social channel capabilities as they evolve, developing and sharing actionable next steps with Marketing team on an ongoing basis
  • Identifying conversations and trends that are relevant for Pacific Foods, and providing recommendations for activation

Content
  • Follow and assist in the maintenance of editorial calendars
  • Publishing approved content to social channels
  • Review and provide input to creative briefs for agency/creator partners
  • Assisting in the development of content in-house, as needed
  • Assist in managing the creative process, timeline and budget

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism or related field
  • 2-3 years of executing social media initiatives with demonstrated success bringing exciting, forward-thinking ideas to life
  • Passionate and curious about all things social media
  • Strong knowledge and experience with activation on Instagram, Pinterest and Tik Tok
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrating empathy, good listening skills, and adaptability
  • Strong copy writing experience, demonstrated experience in creatively translating brand tone/voice into social conversations
  • Ability to create brand content, including copy writing in brand tone/voice
  • Experience working with a wide range of creative formats including: image, video, and link content, as well as newer formats such as ephemeral content, live videos, 360 videos and images, and GIFs
  • Ability to analyze data and draw insights
  • Organization and project management skills
  • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Experience using social media tools
  • Experience with food/beverage brands
  • Experience with boosting posts and running paid campaigns a plus
