Job Description
Planet Technology is seeking a fully remote Social Media Specialist to join one of our well-known pharmaceutical clients.
Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with key leaders within the HR team to bring their strategies to life via company's corporate social media channels.
- Manage year-long HR social media plan to ensure it aligns with HR, EEDI and TA objectives; includes social media presence of company Careers content, paid and organic campaigns.
- Develop and oversee creation of other engaging talent marketing content such as recruitment event materials.
- Assist in the management of company's presence on employer review sites such as Glassdoor and Indeed.
- Reach out to groups (such as employee resource groups), functional teams and individuals to procure stories and images for social posts.
- Develop and curate social media content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, with a focus on the prospective talent audience and company's employer brand strategy. Content will be used across both organic and paid activities, as well as employee advocacy efforts.
- Route all social content through HR stakeholders and company's Social Media Manager for input via designated touchpoints and approvals.
- Develop a solid understanding of the unique needs of the prospective talent audience in order to conceptualize strong social media campaigns and content to meet HR objectives.
- Ensure appropriate, relevant messaging is optimized based on each channel’s best practices.
- Work closely with company's in-house production/design agency and employer brand agency to secure compelling graphics and/or multimedia to drive engagement and reach.
- Demonstrate exceptional writing, grammar and attention to detail.
- Ensure content is accurate and up to date, including checking links, gaining proper consent/permissions, etc. as needed.
- Adhere to corporate social style guide and brand standards.
- Schedule content in company's third-party publishing platform, Khoros.
- Generate insights for quarterly digital report, highlighting key learnings, trends and opportunities to improve social engagement with the talent audience.
- Manage multiple stakeholders among company's Talent Acquisition, Business HR, Corporate Brand and business functions in support of employer brand and recruitment marketing objectives.
Social Media Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related area.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in creating content for social media.
- Exceptional writing, editing and communications skills.
- Understands and embraces the tenets of integrated marketing communications and content marketing.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current social media best practices.
- Experience with talent recruitment marketing / employer brand.
- Experience with paid social campaigns and understanding of paid content best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines.
- Self-starter, proactive problem solver, with a service mindset.
- Willingness to support creating or publishing social media content sometimes outside “normal” work hours.
- Knowledge of various social media publishing and listening tools (e.g. Khoros, NetBase, etc.), preferably with hands-on experience.
