Job Description

**Job Description: Data Owner - Client Data**

**Overview:**
We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our data and analytics strategy, focusing primarily on client data management across various channels. This includes data pertaining to prospects, existing clients, consultants, and client interactions within both institutional and private wealth sectors. The candidate will serve as the Data Owner, ensuring the data empowers business operations, fulfills strategic objectives, and enhances analytics capabilities.

**Role and Responsibilities:**
- Develop, lead, and execute a comprehensive strategy for the effective management of client data, aligning with our long-term vision and strategic goals.
- Act as a pivotal figure in identifying and resolving governance issues, setting data quality standards, and maintaining a high level of data integrity.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration with teams such as Investor Relations, Client Operations, Marketing Communications, and IT, ensuring a unified data strategy that supports business objectives.
- Enhance understanding of data applications and lineage to assess and mitigate the impacts of new data structures or system changes.
- Own and manage client data across the enterprise, ensuring seamless integration and accessibility across all client-related functions.

**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years focused on client data management or data governance.
- Strong foundational knowledge in CRM databases and the technical proficiency to navigate and understand data within proprietary applications.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization and articulate complex data governance concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
- Proven track record of driving data initiatives from a business perspective, with a keen understanding of data operations, management, and governance outside of traditional IT roles.
- Ability to collaborate and build productive working relationships across various teams and departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Background in asset or investment management, with a preference for experience in private markets or private equity.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or data-focused field preferred.

**What You Bring to the Role:**
- A business-oriented approach to data governance, with enough technical knowledge to engage with IT professionals without being an IT specialist.
- The initiative to lead significant data harmonization projects, aimed at consolidating client data from disparate systems to achieve a unified client view.
- The capacity to make independent decisions and take action, requiring minimal escalation.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working with senior members of the client experience and investor relations teams, especially when discrepancies arise.

**Client Selling Points:**
You'll join a firm with over four decades of dedication to professionalism, innovation, and collaboration. We pride ourselves on a vibrant culture that promotes growth, learning, and an entrepreneurial spirit. You'll have the opportunity to shape a new role, making significant contributions to our data and analytics journey. This position is not just about managing data—it's about transforming how we understand and interact with our clients to drive business success.

**Conclusion:**
This role is crucial for someone passionate about leveraging data to create tangible business outcomes, resolve complex data challenges, and enhance client relationships. If you're excited about setting a new standard for client data management and governance, we encourage you to apply.
