Overview:
Our manufacturing client is in the middle of an Infor M3 implementation. The client needs a Vice President of IT-MIS to oversee the Infor M3 implementation and help move our client forward with IT as they grow and expand the company’s margin! This role could lead to a CIO role in the near future!
This client is open to a hybrid work schedule however, the hired Vice President must be onsite 60% of the time and able to travel to the 8 sites in the US and Mexico. This position is based in Texas, however, the client will pay relocation expenses and the elected candidate can be remote until they relocate to Texas!
The Vice President of IT-MIS is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT and MIS (Infor M3) functions within the company. This includes directing all IT and MIS operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and the development of new technical solutions that align with the business objectives.
This Vice President will 4+ have direct reports and 20+ employees in IT. This Vice President will be responsible for managing the implementation (the client does have a PM in place for the implementation). The client also has contractors working on the M3 implementation plus other contractors working on legacy systems.
Top 5 Skills
1. Experience as a Vice President or Senior Vice President level having supervised multiple managers.
2. Experience with Infor M3 is HIGHLY preferable but our client is open to other similar ERP systems.
3. Must have been through multiple ERP Implementations – 3 implementations minimum.
4. Manufacturing Experience is a must-have.
5. Experience mentoring managers in the past if REQUIRED.

Daily Activities
- Serve as an active and influential member of the Leadership Team contributing to company decisions and direction and maintaining a close working relationship with CFO and top leaders.

- Oversee department staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, performance development, and evaluation.
- Direct the activities and performance of the IT/MIS team to ensure quality services to internal users and members. Develop plans for the implementation of internal infrastructure and improvement projects.
- Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
- Produce a detailed timeline for each application release and implement effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on organizational needs.
