Lab Empower Quality Control & Validation Specialist – (Onsite) – Contract – Northeastern Ohio
Biotechnology Research organization seeks a Lab Empower QC & Validation Specialist for an onsite 7-month contract. This requires 4+ years method development and validation expertise with HPLC/UPLC, and GC. Ideal candidate will also have 4+ years in analytical chemistry, with Waters HPLC expertise, having utilized Empower specifically. Prior Training within ISO 9001 and cGMP is also required. This opportunity requires proficiency in chromatography techniques to include gas chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. Opportunity offers somewhat long-term contract with possible extensions. Please ensure you possess all requirements if you are to apply for this position. Please no third parties.


Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry.
  • US or Green Card holder local to northeastern Ohio.
  • 4 + years of method development, validation expertise with HPLC/UPLC, and GC.
  • 4+ years analytical chemistry method validation, ideally having utilized Waters HPLC.
  • Proficiency with Empower and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Access).
  • ISO9001 and cGMP training and experience.
  • Proficiency with chromatography techniques to include both gas and liquid.
  • Experience in deviation and complaint investigations to include root cause analysis and technical writing.

Responsibilities:
  • Performing method development, verification, and validation through the utilization of advanced analytical instruments to include UHPLC (RI, CAD, PDA); GC (FID/TCD).
  • Application of all regulatory standards within a Quality Control Laboratory to include cGMPs, cGLPs, ISO 9001 and other safety regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to achieve project and organizational goals.
  • Expertise in handling projects within scientific and ethical quality standards.
  • Ensuring laboratories are safely and securely operating regarding personnel, equipment and site protection.
  • Performing deviation and complaint investigations to include root cause analysis and technical writing.
